Y:WORKSHOP presents Ways of Curating with Mikke Susanto – consulting curator for Indonesia’s presidential palace collection

An essential tool kit in curating your own art projects, independent events and exhibitions.

This workshop is designed for individuals from all creative backgrounds who want to know the essentials in curating and organizing your own art projects, independent events and exhibitions.

In this class we will cover topics in appreciating art, contextualizing an idea, curatorial writing and executing a concept and display.

Mikke Susanto, with many active roles in the art industry, is known as a consultant curator for Indonesia’s presidential palace collection. Aside from being an informant for Indonesia’s Paintings and Artworks for Presidential Palace Collection at Istana Bogor, he has also participated in providing lectures on Indonesian Fine Arts at National Gallery of Singapore and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Now active as a lecturer in Faculty of Fine Arts at Institute Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, he still participates and works in various art exhibitions with number totaling up to 130 exhibitions.
