Narpati Awangga, also known as Oomleo, was born and raised in Jakarta. After finishing high school in Bandung, West Java, he continued his education at the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI) in Jogjakarta, from which he dropped out. Currently, he is actively involved in ruangrupa, Jakarta.

Oomleo is widely known as a pixel artist. He also acts as the director of RURUradio, routinely travels to lead karaoke sessions, actively plays in a musical group called Goodnight Electric, used to become a web and graphic designer, used to work as a non-expert worker in IT and multimedia fields, used to be a radio announcer for a private radio station, has a hidden talent for cutting hair, occasionally takes a role as an MC, occasionally writes and becomes a columnist for a number of publications, occasionally creates comic strips, occasionally curates art exhibitions, and does an array of many other activities.
